A paper titled “Technology Transition of Network Defense Visual Analytics: Lessons Learned from Case Studies” was accepted for presentation.
NORTHPORT, NY, December 14th, 2011 – A paper written by a team from Secure Decisions was presented as part of the Cyber Security track of the 2011 IEEE International Conference on Technologies for Homeland Security (HST2011) held in Greater Boston, Massachusetts, on November 15-17th, 2011.
The presentation focused on the process of technology transition and lessons learned from transitioning two Secure Decisions’ products, MeerCAT® and VIAssist. MeerCAT® was developed under DARPA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), and is a technology used to visualize wireless network security. VIAssist, which has been funded by several agencies including DHS and AFRL, is a system that analyzes network traffic and security event data by providing scalable, visual representations of cyber data.
The IEEE Conference on Technologies for Homeland Security (IEEE HST) is the leading international conference addressing the challenges of homeland security technology innovation gaps. Since conception, this annual conference has gained prominence and recognition for bringing together science and technology leaders from around the world.
